Ever Seen the Butterball Turkey Fryer Infomercial? What Kind of Recipes Can You Make with This Unit?
Since frying a turkey isn’t always easy, it’s comforting to know that there is a fryer on the market that reduces both the risks and the time spent doing so. The Butterball Turkey Fryer Infomercial makes a lot of claims, and they’re all real, believe it or not!
If you’re looking for an indoor turkey fryer, this is the one to use. You don’t have to fry your Thanksgiving meal while standing outside in the cold in November. You also don’t have to risk a fire by attempting to cook one in your kitchen the conventional way.
This particular unit has the advantage of being absolutely failsafe. It has a thermostat that can be regulated, a drain valve, and an electric timer. The temperature at which your turkey burns can be regulated by you. You have complete power over the passage of time. The drain valve removes any excess oil, making it easier to clean the unit.
The power cord is another safety feature. It has a magnetic connector that turns the power “off” automatically if there is any friction on the line.
How many other kitchen appliances have features that are so failsafe?!
This fryer is capable of much more than just cooking turkey. Fish and chips, fried chicken, veggie stir fry, onion rings, and other meals can be made with the Butterball Turkey Fryer. This means you’ll be able to use it for more than just Thanksgiving! Impress your friends and family by frying a variety of delectable foods.
Since the machine is made to use 1/3 less oil than other fryers, the food you will cook would be healthier. There will be no trans fats! You can, of course, make desserts if you have a sweet tooth. Take a candy bar, freeze it, and then dip it in a simple batter for an indoor fryer recipe.
Maintain a low temperature and allow the candy bar to fry for a few minutes. It’ll be extra gooey when it comes out!
The amount of food you can put in the fryer at one time is limited.
A turkey that weighs less than 15 pounds can only be deep-fried. Any meat that weighs more than 14 pounds must be divided and fried separately. Fortunately, this is a simple method. Separately fry the thigh and leg parts from the breast.
The window and fold-away lid allow you to keep an eye on your food. If you’re worried about the odor, you’ll be relieved to learn that there’s a built-in filter that helps to get rid of it.

- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¾ teaspoon
- garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 4 skin-on, boneless chicken thighs
Let the chicken leg quarters out of the fridge.
The air fryer should be preheated.
Coat the chicken in olive oil on all sides.
On both sides, season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Place skin-side-down chicken in an air fryer basket on a single sheet. There should be no overlap between the two chicken quarters. The cooking time is 20 minutes.
Cook for another 10-12 minutes, or until an instant-read thermometer reads 165°F. Depending on the brand of air fryer you have, it can take longer, so check with a thermometer and cook longer if necessary.
Remove the basket from the oven and set it aside for at least 2 minutes before serving.
Why You Can Make Air Fryer Chicken Drumsticks!
Just in case you were wondering whether or not you should make these, I’m here to tell you that you should!
Air makes less of a mess. Using an air fryer to cook drumsticks keeps the mess localized rather than all over your grill or stovetop. It’s fantastic!
Fast and simple: Drumsticks can be cooked in half the time with excellent results.
Cooking with Consistency: The fryer’s moving air uniformly cooks the legs without over-charring them.
It’s a healthier way to get protein because it needs so little oil. Particularly if you’re on a low-carb or ketogenic diet. It’s a healthy way to get the taste and feel of fried food without the oil.
Cheap: Chicken legs were one of the cheapest meats I could find the last time I searched, so talk about gourmet dining on a budget!
Fun: I know I’ve said it before, but air fryer chicken drumsticks are seriously one of the most enjoyable foods to consume. So get your hands dirty.
