It’s the day of America’s biggest football game, and most of us will be surrounded by friends, family, and even strangers to watch two opposing teams battle it out on the big screen. If you’re there to support your favorite team, simply enjoy the company of others, or simply to watch the wild, new advertisements, there’s no question you’ll be there to enjoy the massive quantities of food on offer.
Super Bowl Sunday, along with Thanksgiving and Christmas, is one of the most important days of the year for families to get together and eat a lot of food that is usually unhealthy. While the health-conscious and calorie-conscious member of the group will most likely bring a fruit or veggie tray, everyone else will be eating something deep-fried, smothered in sauce, or laden with cream cheese. Some of the most common foods are typically high in fat, making them taste even better.
A hot bowl of chili is one of the most popular Super Bowl Party foods. No one can resist a bowl of chili on a cold football afternoon, whether it’s spicy, filled with beans, or just basic. The famous little Smokies are another popular Super Bowl snack. These mini sausages can be dipped in BBQ sauce, wrapped in bacon, or deep-fried for a crispy exterior. If you’re going to be deep-frying, why not use the Indoor Butterball Turkey Fryer to cook a turkey for a crowd or just some snacks like onion rings, fried mushrooms, or mini corn dogs.
If you have a deep fat fryer, particularly one as convenient as the Indoor Butterball Turkey Fryer, you could probably make fried ice cream, deep-fried Snickers, or even a funnel cake. Come on, you’re allowed to cheat on your diet for the Super Bowl, right? After that, it’s just one day, and the next week you should work extra hard to burn off all those extra calories.
Bring one of everyone’s favorite, fatty, delicious dishes to enjoy during the game, whether you’re the host or just a guest

Whisk together the egg and milk in a separate bowl.. Nonstick cooking oil should be sprayed on the chicken wings. Chicken wings should be dipped in the milk/egg mixture. Dip chicken wings in a mixture of Rice Crispy Cereal and cinnamon. Place all of the wings on the grill once they’ve been sprayed. Cook the chicken wings for about 25 minutes on the grill. Remove them from the grill. Allow for 15 minutes of resting time. Maintain the heat on your barbecue. Return the wings to the grill for a final 10 to 15 minutes. This enhances the crispiness of the batter. Make a big batch of chicken wings so you and your guests won’t be able to stop eating them!
